Re: How to install ARGoS in CentOS?

Those are just warnings.

Re: Error when running kilobot_trajectory.argos

Removing Anaconda would solve the problem if you don't need Anaconda. Otherwise, you'll need to tweak environment variables such as LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH. Anaconda messes up these variables and forces your system to use Anaconda's version of Qt instead of the system version.

Re: Error when running kilobot_trajectory.argos

This error is different, it refers a configuration error on your machine: /usr/lib/argos3/libargos3plugin_simulator_epuck.so: libQt5Core.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory The original error was a compilation issue. The problem with your machine is that libQt5Core.so.5 c...

Re: No project() command is present

I need a bit more information to reproduce your problem. What version of Ubuntu are you running, e.g., 18.04 or 20.04? What version of ARGoS have you installed? What is the output of argos3 -v ? Are you using the latest version of argos3-kilobot, on the master branch? Do you have Anaconda or Conda i...

Re: No project() command is present

The error is not in the "project()" part (that's just a warning) but later on, when argos3_simulator is searched and not found.

So how did you install ARGoS? On what OS are you working?

Re: Kilobot brightness sensor.

Please make sure to read the original kilobot paper , as well the paper we wrote on how we modeled it . Most of the questions you've been asking lately are covered in these two papers. Also, please check the code I linked – this way you can see exactly how things are implemented and calculated. The ...

Re: Maximum speeds

How many radians / degrees does the kilobit every second rotate?
How many centimeters does the kilobit advance every second?
It depends on the speeds you set.

The Kilobot, internally, is modeled as a differential-drive robot.

Re: Kilobot brightness sensor.

Did you check the code I linked? The function takes two arguments – one related to the linear distance, one related to angular offset. Is the robot keeping the same angular offset throughout the experiment?

Re: Kilobot brightness sensor.

This is the function used to simulated the light sensor, given the distance to a specific light source. For distances beyond 2.5 the returned reading is 0. For closer distances, the readings follow an exponential that decays with the distance. I am not sure how you got the values you show, but I gu...

Re: How to use the rand_hard () function?

This is something related to the original interface of the Kilobot. The ARGoS model mimicks what the Kilobot originally offers. The function rand_hard() is implemented with a Mersenne-Twister random number generator that returns a 32 random bits. It is not possible to change the range, but you can s...
